OUR DOGS

IMPORTANT NOTE

All of our adult dogs are healthy and sound with excellent temperaments, as we strive to improve the amazing breed of Labrador Retrievers. Please understand that although some dogs come pretty close, no dog is perfect, and they are all unique with different personalities and ways of viewing the world. Be aware that although we can give you a description of our dog’s personalities and physical characteristics, each puppy born at Archway is a unique individual. Character traits from the breeding pair will of course be passed on to the puppies, but you also have an important role to play in shaping your pup as they mature. To help you pick the best puppy for your life, each Archway Labrador puppy is Aptitude Tested, and we will share and discuss those results with you. We wish nothing but success for you and your Archway puppy.

All of our breeding stock have been genetically tested, and have cleared the OFA’s testing for hips and elbows, and passed CERF testing by OFA. They are DNA tested for exercise induced collapse, narcolepsy, progressive retinal atrophy, and ocoloskeletal dysplasia.
All of our breeding stock are Registered Labrador Retrievers with the Canadian Kennel Club.

We have limited the number of quality dogs in our program to an amount that allows us to devote our time, love, and attention to each and every one of them. The health and happiness of our dogs is our priority. Our selective breeding program provides quality, sound puppies, with a gentle nature, and we are dedicated to improving the Labrador breed. We take the care of our dogs very seriously. Our daily routine with them is extensive, taking the time for all, ensuring they all have their needs met. Cleaning, feeding, exercising and training our dogs, and maintaining our facility is a large task and a responsibility we do not take lightly. However, seeing our amazing pups finding their way into the homes and lives of our amazing customers makes our hard work worthwhile.
